Suspension lift

I have a 1979 Waggy, and I was wondering which suspension lift would be the best for the waggy?

Depends on what your looking for, here is a website for you to look at www.bjsoffroad.com they have a few different lifts. Also post on here what you trying to do and we can help you decide.

Well, i'm trying to be able to clear bigger rocks without problems basically. Not like full rock crawler status, but half way. Basically so I dont have to worry about new trails, and the obsticals that have yet to come. AND so I can launch it at least once. :]

How big of a tire are you wanting to clear? A 4" will clear 31's on your wagoneer and a 6" will clear 33's. BJ's Offroad can hook you up on 2", 4" and 6" kits. Rusty's Offroad has lift kits as well. Call it a biased opinion, but I'd go with BJ's.

Height

You also might want to consider how tall YOU are. My J-truck is the perfect height for getting in/out of. My Wagoneer requires a bit of a jump to get my butt on the seat.

Tire size will determine your choices and options. Either way I would personally go with a SOA first before going with lifted springs. More work involved but the benefits far out weight the other options IMO.

i remember when i first lifted my chief, it was actually easier to get in and out of! but i'm a little on the tall side....

if you off-road quite a bit, i'd go with SOA. the stock springs are so nice and flexy. you just can't get much flex out of 6" lift springs. of course, that's assuming you want to run 33's.

Actually my jeep already has 31's. And do you know how many leaf springs it is supposed to have stock? I googled it but got nothing.
