Jeep should really build this!!!
This was introduced at Moab!!
"Our personal favorite? That has to be the Jeep Nukizer 715 (above). While the name could use a little work, this truck is the epitome of what we want to see Jeep produce. Designed as an homage to the legendary Kaiser M-715, this beastie makes use of a J8 two-door body and an aftermarket AEV Brute pick-up bed. Chrysler's engineers built that leaning front nose out of carbon fiber, and stretched the frame to 124 inches to make a little more room for the new bodywork. It only gets better when we start talking drivetrain. At its beating heart, the Nukizer 715 uses a 2.8-liter tubo-diesel four-cylinder mated to a four-speed slusher. A Dana 44 axle sits up front, backed up by a Dana 60 in the rear, both with 5:38 gear ratios. Perfection? You're looking at it."

That really is sweet. Seems like all the American makers are going back to some kind of retro looking stuff that actually works pretty well. I'm liking it so far.

Sell the S-10 (only need 1 truck)
Sell the YJ, the cherokee, and (gulp) the GW...
And I could make a down payment! And I would too! I told my wife if they ever built the Rescue close to the form of the concept that I would sell everything and get one. She seemed happy with that...but maybe it was just the Sell Everything part she heard..
Did they stitch in windows like on a soft top Wrangler?

meh..i think it's kinda funny lookin'. the whole front fascia is dis-proportionately small, the flares way too big and the tiny windshield.
looks like they cobbed up a wrangler with some tacky nostalgia. and likely because that's exactly what they did.

Looks to me like a little jeep dressed up as a M715 using a bunch of plastic.
No thanks.

Personally, I love it. And I would trade in my JK in a second for it. The scale is a little bit off, but I could live with that.
I mean common. Diesel engine, D44 front, D60 rear, coil springs, good looks... Al it needs is a 3rd pedal. The slush box used in the JK's sucks. If it was a 6sp auto, I could probably live with it.

I think most everyones would, but that aint gonna happen. If there is gonna be a new Jeep pickup, we are gonna have to hold out hope they finally build something like the Nukizer.

Nukizer
Check ouh this link.....I especially like the yellow wording right under the photo of the Nukizer 715. See link below.
Best Jeep pickup concept yet. I believe more photos will follow later in the week, along with test drive results from Moab.

We'll see. Chrysler definitely needs something to build sales. Fiat doesn't have anything interesting enough to warrant bringing it over here. If they build this, and keep the price down, I think it will go over well. I agree that it needs a manual transmission. Instead of a rag top, they could build a steel targa type top. The only thing they gotta remember is the old K.I.S.S. acronym. SOMEBODY needs to get with the program with the small diesel market. I'd rather it be Chrysler than Generally Malfunctioning Crap.

Well Ford has proven that the small truck market can still be lucrative.. and they are still peddling a truck that is basically the same since '93. If Fiat is smart and wants to expand the Jeep brand.. this would be a logical direction. I would honestly say I would buy it!
