Backspacing for w/t cherokee

I am looking at a set of 15x10" aluminum wheels that have 3.25" of backspacing. I know a 33x12.5 tire on a wheel with 3.75" of backspacing will clear.

Question is will 3.25" of backspacing with the 12.5" tire be getting into my fender flares with a 4" lift. Anyone know the answer?

They should fit. There is a chance the tires may rub the lip of the flare at full stuff. Most people run 8" wheels (myself included) to give the tire a narrower profile. Helps keep the tire tucked in. Also helps prevent losing a bead when airing down offroad. Also less of a chance of damaging the rim offroad on rocks and such, as the sidewall protrudes out farther from the rim.

But for most things, i think you will be fine. But the tires WILL stick out from the flares. So depending on where you live, you may get a ticket. I would try to find either a 15x8 wheel with that backspacing, or if you really want a 15x10, go with 3.75".
