1988 Grand Wagoneer - Interior Paint Color

Hey All,

I'm in the process of replacing the headliner and I pulled the rear side window trim to sand some rust. Does anyone know what paint (perf. simple rattle can spray paint) would match the tan interior color?

I tried to go to the hardware store and eyeball it, but didn't see anything that was close.

Any ideas?

That's gonna be difficult.. why not paint it the same color as the exterior metal? Not to say that won't be less difficult.

Well, I could easily just paint them black, but I'd like to try to match the original color...

I'm not "type A" and the rig is certainly not perfect. A color that is close would make me happy.

Paint it in a black primer, so when you decide to repaint the outside, the interior it's already ready.

Our local Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint store will mix any color and put it in an aerosol can for about $20 . They also have most years paint chip charts to work with .

SEM products had the burgundy interior color in a rattle can. It took me a while to figure out the color I needed because they have a massive amount of product and not the easiest website to navigate. They have lots of cool products like panel adhesives that are stronger than welding.

You can also get paint mixed to match at ACE, though I don't know about the spray can.
