We gana try and wrangle a discount at Bighorn this year? Considering that if my woman wants to come along during the week at all, when she leaves, going to camp on the rim of that big canyon north of town, off that wide dirt road..I forget the name of it. It's right above Gemini Bridges.

Good Idea. But before I do something like that, I would like to know who is coming so I can give them an idea of how many FSJers may be staying at the Bighorn.
Maybe it is too early for some to commit. Maybe they are out Christmas shopping and missing out on planning for this important event.

Count me in! Not a joke at all! My wife is taking our oldest and a group of students to France. Juliette and I plan to leave the upstate on April 12-13 at the latest.
Still working on logistics...we may fly out and rent a Jeep. We may drive whatever we have... All I know is we're headed west when their flight leaves the ground.

That's awesome!!! It'll be a trip you'll never forget!
Plenty of jeep rentals up there. I doubt you'd want to borrow a FSJ for Moab Trash a rental.

Flint & Krista,,thinking real hard about doing this one. I have yet to install a locker in the rig. Do you think this would be too huge of a deficit?

Just the one in Kane Creek, and I dont think anyone with a nice paint job wants to do that one
J20: Lockers are not needed, but will help. It's not like there isn't a bajillion people with winches anyways.

eww....I'm camping out for sure.
http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showt...light=bed+bugs
about moab:
I got really lucky on this, I didn't bring them back home. A local woman who works for BLM reported that she stayed at the Apache in late October and got 400 bites over a five day stay. They got into her things and infested the BLM vehicle she was assigned, then got into her house. Aside from the cost of exterminating her home, she was not allowed to enter her workplace for two weeks, losing income, etc. Sounds funny, but aside from the bites being about as bad as anything you'll ever experience, these little bastards can be the gift that keeps on giving.

Bud - A rear locker is helpful but we have seen some folks run open in places you would expect to have a challenge. If our plans work out, we will have one rig with a winch.

Janie - The Rim has a wicked shelf road and a spot that has produced roll-overs about halfway up. We can keep you away from there.
