Out of here folks
Sad to say, but i thought it would not happen...but i got to the point many others have....that point where you have to draw a line and say no further...my FSJ decided to start pouring gas from three different areas at the rear of the tank last week end....can't justify the $500 in parts and labor to replace the gas tank....so i will be focusing on getting my GMC truck into tip top shape and drive it daily for now on....
good bye FSJ jeep....
so it got donated to my jobless friend to see what he can part out on it and make some $$ off it....
So been fun folks...

That sucks about the tank man.. just yeah.. ouch.
But I'm about there with Levi, I just feel like I'm never going to get enough saved to get the engine swap done; now that I've got a little turbo daily-driver, I'm thinking I might just cut my losses on Levi too.. (sigh)

I've been at that brink before... Good luck! Feel free to hang around anyways though. I've said it before, these things are like herpes. Once you get the bug, it never truly goes away.

Understood Robert, it needs to happen sometimes.
Doesn't mean you get to be a total stranger. I've met some really good people here over the years and you are one of them.
Shoot me an email or a PM, I know two items I'd be willing to buy if the price is right.
Let's try to get together sometime over the holidays and have a beer also.
It would be nice to see you and the GMC again, been too long.

I know the feeling. I put my Chief away for 5 years before my wife said either fix it up and drive it or get rid of it. (I think after this last build she would have been happier if I would have gotten rid of it.)

I've been there as well. Fortunately, I was able to park my waggy in the garage until the desire returned, as did the funds. It sat for five years . Happily, the desire returned, and I was very glad I still had the old beast. Bringing it back from a long slumber has been interesting, fortunately, it did get the occassional spin around the block, and fresh gas occassionally (and Stabil!) to keep it at least a little loose.
