i bought a wagoneer with a DUI distributor. i've made a couple of my own AMC HEI's on the lathe, and after looking that DUI over i think it's ridiculously over priced. all the internals look cheap, and their whole "tune it for your motor" gimmick is a joke.
there are cheaper alternatives in HEI.

I have been running one since 02. The factory module went south on the Tappanzee bridge and I ordered the Dui one you posted. It is basicly a GM HEI unit that has been curved for an AMC. I got the live wires also. The whole thing is a little pricey, but it solved throttle response problems and MPG went from 9 to 10 or 11 if I keep my foot out of it. I am happy with it, but there are cheaper units out there. Can't say how they work. It is also useful to get a 1" larger power steering belt as there is no clearance between the pump and bypass hose.

Did You know?
Ther's no need to machine an HEI distributor, the four wire HEI module will work with the duraspark distributor, all You have to make is a heat sink for the module and get the polarity of the pickup correct. The module dosn't care what the trigger looks like.

I'll stand by it.
I've ran it for quite a while & the perfomamce set up work just like the instauctions told me to do it. I've heard tomany story about gear failures on the factory Hei. I'm sure someone can come up with one failing I just never heard or it.
Juat MY 2 cents
