Quick Engine Question
I feel like my engine is sitting and to extreme of an angle.
Both bolts of the engine mounts went into the slots furthest from the transmission. Is this correct?
It is hard to tell, but this is the best picture of the angle.

Do you have the tranny mounted to the crossmember in that pic?

Once you install the trans and cross member it will put the engine in position.

Did that earlier. I figured it was putting some unnecessary strain on something somewhere.
Thanks. I will be getting tranny and t case in as soon as I can.

Did this vehicle originally have a V8 or 6 cylinder?
There are two sets of holes on FSJ frames, and IIRC the ones "furthest" from the tranny are for the 258 cid engines since the block is longer than V8s and require the frame horns to be in a different location to be center mounted. The V8 frame horns are closer to the tranny, so it sounds like you have the mounts in the 258 set of holes.
I would measure the tranny/transfer case, then put the tape on the driveshaft and measure back to the engine. I think you'll see that there's going to be a gap that corresponds to the difference in the two frame horn positions referenced above.

It had a 360 off the assembly line. I put it in the two furthest from the tranny/closest to the front bumper because that was the position of the 360 in the 88 GW parts Jeep we have.
I will try to measure it tomorrow.

Then I stand corrected.
If you had a 360 stock, and mounted it the way it was, then that's the way it should be.
