Bulltear AC serpentine kits supports CS144

New alternator bracket now supports std 6 5/8 spaced alternator and the CS 144 6 7/8 spaced. Check it

For those with Yorks you will be suported shortly! Sorry for the wait!

Well ok that bracket looks like the wesdog one. I am getting the one that tightens the belt via the alt. If that one supports a 6 and 5/8s mounting config then it will mount a cs130 no issue. The wesdog bracket may have different mounting distances however because according to your like it will support a cs 144 and when I spoke with bulltear on the phone he was clear that the cs144 would not fit on their bracket. By the way I haven't received the bracket yet and once i get it I will promptly add measurements.

Really fitment isn't the issue here, my whole point of starting this thread is that I can't find any info on how to wire a CS alt into an externally regulated harness. With the later rigs its pretty easy you plug the ech 82 into the alt then plug the old plug that should have plugged into the alt into the ech82 and beef up the charging wire.

Does anyone know how many different versions of the alt bracket for the sanden version are out there? The one i have seems to be a variation of the one shown above. I bought one of these kits maybe a year or so ago, (maybe longer), and the alt bracket has two sets of slots in it for adjustment and it seems like an extra mounting tab that somehow works with the upper bolt that goes through the timing cover. I have assumed the two slots allow use of both the stock and 144 alts. I probably would have preferred to have had the brcket shown above and just adjusted the belt with the p/s, but i don't think that was an option at the time.

These kits come with no instructions. I got four new long bolts and 8 spacers of various lengths in the kit. I spaced the sanden a/ c bracket out with 3 of the 1/2 spacers but it doesn't look right in that one location. Does anyone have any additional pics of their install?

The newer bracket has the slots there is no other bracket that it fits all the motors whether its a York or Sanden. There are instructions in our forum for assembly under product spotlight.

I guess those instructions aren't visible on an ipad. Anyway, i have the slotted bracket but i continue to have problems getting things to work right. Do you have a part number or donor car that has the cs144 that has the mounting holes at 6 7/8". I have tried the ones listed on the ifsja board and they seem to be at 7 1/8. Also, is there any reason that the top mounting bolt hole doesn't line up with the threaded hole in the had like the original?
