That rig is you, Greg! Finally got your bling! I've seen that baby for sale for awhile, lots of potential. Nice new rig, congrats.

Thanks for the congrats, guys. The truck was built in 1991, by a fabricator in the area. He drove it up until about 6-8 years ago, and it has since traded hands a few times since then. The original engine, from a 1992 Corvette, has since been pulled and replaced with an unknown build 350 from a 70's Chevy.
Jeff, if you want more pics of it, here's the photo album from the seller ...

Clint, yeah, it's got a sweet stance to it ... now it just needs a 4" chop to the top!

Very cool! Not exactly my cup o' tea but very well done. It's a shame somebody took the Vette engine out of it. It just goes to show that there's an FSJ for everybody!

Congrats on the purchase.
You going to keep the paint?
I'd be interested in seeing some photos of the front suspension....

Thanks, and yes on the Vette engine. It was built to 450HP apparently ... not sure if it was a ZR1 engine or not ... that would have been fun.

I'm going to get rid of the really BAD red spray job, which a 'later' owner laid down. It was originally all yellow, which I will probably go back to. Eventually, I will get some pics of the front suspension posted up. The grafting of the Camaro subframe into the FSJ frame is pretty decent. Having been done now for 19 years, it looks like it's been done well and has held up over time.

You're a brave man...more than I would want to tackle.
Much rather start with the Cherokee floating around SoCal the past several years...
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...978112497.html
Still 4wd and 401 powered without rust and hackery...
Guessing you saw/read the below on your new purchase?

With the exception of the paint job and flamed seats it kinda looks like a Pikes Peak racer.

A polished razor would look awesome on it.
As much as I like lifted rigs, that is pretty nice with a lot of potential.

It is about time that thing joined the ranks in this forum. I have been seeing pix of that off and on since 99. It does have potential. I would, of course, dump the bowtie for a hotty 401 and drive the wee out of it. How much of this one will get powder coated?
Congrats Greg!

I remember seeing pictures of that thing almost 15 years ago when I first started driving mine. It doesn't look much different than I remember.
