Is there a Pertronix kit available for the tornado 230? The site doesn't list one. Is there anything else out there? I'm just looking for a simple upgrade.

Might check over at the M715zone.com also since the stock rigs are 230ci.

Is it the same distributor because aren't they waterproofed on M715's?
I'll check the site nonetheless. Thanks

I ran the distributor at Rock Auto where I got a Autolite #IAT-4416, does that match the tag on your distributor?
If it does then there is a Pertronix electronic ignition #2561 available and costs $129.95 through:

West Coast Core
42540 6th st east D
Lancaster, CA 93535
661-726-9915
open 8:00 - 5:00 Mon - Fri California time
9:00 - 2:00 Sat
JjMoneyhogg@aol.com

Just for reference, the M715 230 OHC distributor is Prestolite IAT-4411 4AT and I would think this unit might interchange.

If you decide to order a pertronix unit. Save your self some grief and DO NOT order from that vender. I won one of their units on ebay two years ago...after waiting 10 days to get the thing sent , they decided to send me a unit for a 4 cylinder CJ jeep. All said and done it took that company a month to get the correct application sent to me .
