Loose visors?

Is there a way to tighten up sun visors so they don't keep working down on their own? Some other older vehicles I've had have had a screw that could be tightened for additional resistance. Also have any idea if Bic pens were the original visor tips to seat into visor clips. Would like to know if there is a oem replacement tip with out a ball point.

I'm assuming thisin on your 67?

AFAIK there isn't a way to tighten the spring up, as the shaft it peened over or crimped to hold the spring on.

You can just pull the shaft out of the visor and replace them with better shape ones. Then you don't have to worry about finding the right color.

I'd keep the pens in there. The original ones where just thin white plastic that like to crumble after so many years.

I would cut the tube down though so you don't have any ends on it.
