what is the normal idle speed for a 1980 360?
I found a rpm and dwell meter and am trying to get the truck running properly.
I have now got it timed right and its running great,just a little fast,around 800rpm, is 650 about right?

Sounds about right! I'm running at 650 rpm.

Mine is set to 600 in drive.

thanks guys ,got it set at 650 and is running better than it has in yrs. just goes to show that having the right equipment is a good thing
