good idea, and I like the look as well, and we have, and for several reasons have not pursued it.

Increased material cost would substaintially increase price, and in this economy, would not be cost effective

also you would loose the versitility of the current panel for covering, etc. Now its extremely easy to glue on some camo material, or whatever, to match your headliner, or interior.

I assume you are talking about Aluminum plate, its durability is significantly less than the aluminized steel in a thickness that is compatible for placing on the door.

and another point, for me, I had Alum diamond plate on a truck that I drove often and didnt like the way it snagged and was rough on things that touched it, maybe not a problem for some that are more coordinated.

These panels are close, but thicker than the panels on the M715. Being a fan of Military utility, durability, etc, we went for strength, corrosion resistance, durability, simplicity, and versitility while holding down the cost. also properly attached, adds considerable strength to the door.

All very valid points, I do also like the current flat sheet and agree it is far more versatile then diamond plate. I was merely suggesting you could offer that as an option, kind of like the door speaker option.

understand, what I should of mentioned is I have to order a minimum of 50 to get the tooling and set up at a reasonable level, these are cut on computer controlled mill to make sure they are professional looking. the material cost is approx twice as much, thus having to make a significant outlay for a run of 50, if you see my point.

thanks for the interest Gentlemen. I do have a few sets left and will be posting those available soon. I would still like to do the rear doors, but material prices have gone up and will have to do some checking to see what I can offer them for. I will post to this thread shortly with the number of fronts available. thanks

Bill

I am still looking into Material prices for the rear panels. I have 5 sets I can sell at the moment. These are from the earlier run and are the same price as listed at the beginning of the thread.

I have one set of the stainless handles at the moment available as well

Thanks to all that bought Panels.

Happy new year

thanks for the positive feedback. We are designing the rear doors for the wags now and should have them available in the next month with another batch of the fronts, have 2 sets of fronts left now from the original batch.

I know the panels were $75.00/pr back in 2010, how much are they now for a pair shipped to 54174?
