Then or Now...

Okay, consider this.

Pick the age you'd like to be, the year you'd want to be living in and the FSJ of your choice... and the locale you are driving in.

I'd like it to be 1971, driving a 67 gladiator with a vigilante working a ranch in priest valley california.... (or maybe outside sonora, ca or way up north in the mtns with a blade working the woods.) I think I'd be 24 years of age...

how about you?

1968. J3800 Camper Truck.

Fire Engine Red, Dauntless 350, T18A, P/S, P/B, Custom Cab, Ramsey PTO front mount winch, Gustom Xtra Grip 7.50-16 tires, side mount tire carrier and all sorts of other goodies.

I'd drive it anywhere that things don't rust.

Age? 23 is fine.

I actually wouldn't mind being 19-20 in 1972 with a brand new split bumper z/28 or a 69 stingray but i could also do mid 70's with a cherokee and a 401

This age is just fine, because each new year I realize how much dumber and immature I was the year before.

This year because I wouldn't want to give up all I've known and done, good or bad, in the years past.

The ride I have now because I built it, it works, it's real and not a dream.

Anywhere I'm driving at the moment. There is no best and worst. They are all an experience of life and of equal merit, north south east or west.

It would be 1973. I would be 13, and I wouldn't be driving, but sitting in the back seat of the 72 Wagoneer while my parents were in the front - and we were taking it to the top of White Mountain Peak in Eastern California.

I WAS there, then, and it was a good time - and I would be happy to be able to replay it a few times.
