Interior pricing

So a buddy of mine works for a tow company that impounds vehicles. He informed me that they have just taken ownership of an unclaimed 87 GW. The body is real rough with dents and rust in the usual places. However, it did start after two pumps of the peddle. His boss wants 600 for the whole thing and a local junk yard claims 300 dollars if you can push, pull, drive, or carry the vehicle to them.

The upside is that the maroon interior is in immaculate shape with not so much as a scratch in the leather or a stain in the carpet. Im interested in the whole thing if it means i get the interior as a spare. My question to yall is what have you paid or what would the right price be for a nice complete interior? I of course have to factor in paying the title transfer fee and the transportation costs to get it to the scrap yard after I pull everything I want off of it.

My other option is to pull the interior then piss off my neighbors by lifting it and building an ugly trail rig.

Lemme know what yall think.

Option two if the stock gearing is deep enough to run larger tires...sawzall will take care of clearance.

I wouldn't hesitate to pay $1500 delivered for a complete interior in VERY good condition for my wagon in sand. I actually prefer the maroon interior but sand was the stock color and I just paid $350 for a new headliner. I'm sure this will be a money maker for you if you wait for the right buyer to come along.

Sounds like a screaming deal to me. I just bought a GW for $1000 recently but I am stripping the interior and the engine from it. I am wondering why you have to transfer the title to send it to a scrapyard. I have done it with just a Bill of Sale.

I have to transfer the title because Maryland is a money hungry state that wants taxes off of everything even if the bill of sale says 5 bucks.

I like the clearance idea. I was thinking the same thing. Does anyone know if cutting the top off the car would cause any structural stability problems? It shouldn't cuz it sits on a solid frame.

Thanks for the input on the interior. My second waggy will be sitting in my side yard tomarrow.
