Did the 87s have rivet holes for the moulding, or did that come later? Yours looks awfully clean. No holes? fill 'em yourself? or pay da man?

This is the only thing keeping me from removing the panels on one of my GWs. (mine both have rivets)

Rivets and the holes are still there. I did not fill them because I was going to put it back on but now im not. I have enough paint to fill and touch up later if i feel like it.

This is an 83 Cherokee that was painted with a gun metal gray/blue/green paint. The black trim really set's it off. (Only had the Jeep for 3 months, long enough to swap out the 401 for a 360.

Or...you could go with the thin wood look used on earlier Wagoneers. I always preferred it to the later fuller bodied wood:

Add a Razor grill and it would be perfection!

Yeah this was my first FSJ...and I still miss it. You just don't see many black FSJs. That was the original paint and wood from '79. Photo taken somewhere around 1996.

I agree, I like the thin wood better than the bigger version... but dang these things look good woodless with the right trim.

If your undecided about wood or wood-less. Have Frank (Tonka200) make you
up some magnetic wood trim, like Ghinmi did.

ya yours is a beauty, I've seen that pic before and I love the paint. I wonder if I could find the small wood trim anywhere and if it would line up well on my wag.

Thanks for all the pics so far everyone
