air injection tube bolts
Does anyone know where to get the bolts for the smog air injection tubes? I've tried a couple parts places but no luck.

Remove the air tubes and plug the holes with 9/16 bolts.
It's what I tried to do. Until the first bolt disinegrated.
EDIT: Sorry. Didn't see you're from Cali. Air tubes gotta stay I guess. Hippie.

Also, check U-pulls and junkyards. Paid 5 bucks for the goofy one on the driver's side that also holds the air tube to Cat. They want 32 bucks for that one new! Then, before you reinstall, run a tap into the exhaust manifold threads. Hard to find the 9/16ths NF tap on the shelf, however, had to order one.

I had great luck with making a tap from a deep reach plug. I filed 4 flutes into the threads and viola!, a 9/16ths tap perfect for cast iron.

Member "Greg Taylor" here sold me some SS plugs that have holes in them for safety wire. I believe there for airplane engines. Do a search for him. I bought 7 from Greg them I went to PepBoys and found some copper crush washers to fit. Find Greg and shoot him a PM, tell him I sent you.
The thread is a 9/16-18 and you need like a 1/2 -5/8" long bolt AND GASKET. The problem is, no one sells a 9/16"-18 bolt in less than 1" long.
Member Elliott found some too... CLICK HERE

I also got mine from http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/. It's just too bad the old banjo bolt heads snapped right off. I broke one and left the rest alone for now. Forced a smaller bolt into the broken banjo bolt and called it good...
Just be ready...
