getting a fsj

this week im going to be getting a old wagoneer i believe. people are moving and dont want to take it with them. hasnt been run this year and it wont turn over so im assuming its the starter or the wire. are there any particular things i should check on these old beasts that were known for going bad. worst comes to worst i can sell the motor to a friend to have rebuilt and then scrap the car and make some money off of it.

Excellent!!! Battery/cables/then starter... then the switch. Cables are known to be bad, especially if replaced. Go with the heaviest you can afford.

Of course, I'd see if it turns over by hand to make sure it isn't seized before spending any money... then get back on here and let us know.

Looking forward to the pics!
