Driving down the road today

I was driving down the road today and spotted a J10 sitting in some ones yard and stopped and turned around to check it out. When i pulled into the drive way i also spotted a Forward Control jeep that was parked there. I called on it and it ran when it was parked there and did not have the bed. It looked to be in great shape and the owner said he had all the parts to fix it up. My question was i know little about it and was wondering what something like this would be worth. Any help will be welcomed. Thank you

They are like J trucks as far as price ranges verses condition. The exception being a really nice FC will sell for more then a J truck. But for average driving trucks or non-running trucks they go about the same.
The FC's may have a slight advantage price wise for fixer uppers.
One day I hope to experience the FC myself. Can you imagine a switchback trail on the side of the mountain driving a FC

(I have to give Flint credit for my newest fear. It took me 20 years to cure the fear of switchbacks on Raven Rock in KY.)

He also has a 74 or 76 J10 golden eagle. He says it runs great but has a wire problem. I am hopefully going this week to take a closer look but my question is What is the difference with the golden eagle from a normal J10 and what axles would it have? Thank you

It won't be a 74 or a 76 if it is a Golden Eagle. They didn't fly until 78 in the J trucks and only for a few years.
The axles should be Dana 44's front and back reguardless unless it has been swapped out.
They are nice trucks but not really special, no more than a Honcho is. They both were just sticker packages and different steering wheels. Although the G E did come with the roll bar and front bar and spot lights as well as golden colored wheels on the brown trucks. But still for the most part just a sticker change.

1977 was a Golden Eagle year for the J10. There's one in my garage.
