Have you checked the distribution block? I was trying to bleed mine the other day and was getting nothing out of the lines. I taped the button in (tried to pull it out first) and everything bled just find.
HTH.

BRAKE BLEEDING
I AM HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH BOTH MY 87 J-20 WITH HYDROBOOST AND THE 89 GRAND WAG. I AM CONVINCED THAT THE ISSUE IS IN THE COMBO VALVE.

I have owned over a dozen SJ's and I have never had to mess with the prop./combo valve.
I have replaced entire brake systems, and had excellent luck gravity bleeding.
Crack the bleeders open, take the cover off the master and fill it.
Grab an adult beverage and let gravity do the work. Might take a while depending on how much air is in the system. Just means more beer
The valve will just recenter itself eventually like it is supposed to.

Babywag X2 something is sucking in air. The system has to be 100% tight or it wont bleed. Prop valve wont help if the system isnt tight.

BLEEDING ISSUE
Tony I hear ya. I have done enought brake bleeding in my day. The 85 J-20 I just built we bled the brakes in 10 minutes. I think that when the prop valve screws up it restricts the flow of fluid

This is the first time I've ever had this problem in the 15+ years I've been bleeding brakes...

I am with the others with the block being the problem, my J20 did the same thing after a rear line went. I had to get a new valve, mine would not release, you'd think 28 years was old or something....
