Is the front supposed to be this high?

So when I drive my Waggy around, I notice that the front is sitting higher than the rear. I thought this was because of the rear shocks being gone, but I was told that's not the problem. The shocks do nothing but make the ride smoother. However, I'm getting a suspicion that it's the front shocks. The reason being that the front shocks have a spring on them, I guess it's supposed be part of a lift kit that never came to be on my truck. So if I put regular shocks on the front, will I be able to retain the original ride height?

This is how it looks

Your rear springs might be saggy and in need of replacing, the rear seems to be a bit low.

Looks like classic Wag Sag to me. The rear springs are probably about wore out and maybe even broken. When my dad put the 4" on his GW, both rear main leaves were broken when they came out.

I agree, Wag Sag is very common. Rough Country sells an Add-a-Leaf that should fix it right up, for around $60 shipped.

Yes but the rear isn't supposed to be that low. As said above, typical Wag sag.

Remember, unless you have air shocks or coil over add-ons, the shocks will not add any ride height to your vehicle.

X2 on what others said. Typical Wag Sag.

EDIT: DUH. I see now that you DO have a coil over add-on on your front shocks. Do what "mdill" says, right down below this post.

Swap you coil over front shocks over to the back and your regular non-coil overs to the front, and be done with it. 0 $'s .

If you look at it from the rear, does the driver's side sit lower than the passenger side?

Again, typical wag sag. Only known cure is new springs...
