aftermarket items for 84 and up Grand Wagoneer fit an 81 Wagoneer?

Hello out there. I am brand new to this forum. Someone over at the AMC forum told me about it. I am so happy to be here...I just got an 81 Wagoneer, and in looking for aftermarket stuff (rock rails, grille guards, etc), it is possible to find many suppliers offering Grand Wagoneer parts, but not always Wagoneer parts. But...the bodies are pretty much the same, aren't they? At least at a functional level? I guess that is a long way to ask my question...would most aftermarket items that are listed for a Grand Wagoneer (84 and newer) fit on an 81 Wagoneer base model?
Thanks! I'll be spending a lot of time here on this forum. I have already learned a TON about off roading, etc.

The parts pretty much all interchange. Just make sure the parts they are saying are for '84 and up aren't for the XJ Cherokee Wagoneer. It seems a lot of places that sell aftermarket parts forgot that the Grand Wagoneer existed after '84 and the introduction of the XJ.
