how much gas?

got the 401 timed today.it seems that the holley ta 670 is idled to high, right now i only have half the tail pipe system set up(no muffler ).
the curb idle is at the lowest setting, the idle mixture is at 1 and a half.i put on the air cleaner and it seemed to idle down a bit.

so the major questin is what kind of milage will i get with a 401,ta carb and 4.09 gear ratio?
provided that i can tune the carb properly.

I would say 8-12 is going to be your mileage range as it seems to be the average. If you get more than this you are fortunate.

I average 15 in my 360 Chief with TH400, 31"s and 3.73s.....till I start throttling it at every light to shake the Prius's and Smart's out of the Razor grille.

I haven never wanted to check my mileage because I know it's horrible. I would think that 9 would be generous for me.
