edelbrock headers opinions

what are everyones experiences with the edelbrock shortys? Im going to be getting some headers next month, and was just seeing what people had to say, also how does the ti-tech hold up is it just paint or is it more of a powder coat.

I've got the ceramic coated ones and love 'em. Beat the pants off the stock manifolds.

They are nice headers and will bolt up to your factory exhaust.

The ti-tech is garbage, don't get it. A local customer here bought it, within 8 months, it was pitting out and rusty. Sport for the ceramic, well worth the $$$$.

yeah i like that they bolt right in place of the stock manifolds since I had an exhaust installed back in june that uses the stock manifolds, and I like that I dont need to modify my exhaust that was expensive.

Good to hear of another racer. I did a back-to-back test with headers vs manifolds a while back. It picked up 6/10 of a second with headers. I'd call that a pretty good gain for the $$. Your results may vary, mine's not exactly a conventional Jeep. Didn't really notice a sound difference, the Jeep is pretty quiet anyways.

Little quicker than that. 12.50 @ 105 was the best last year. Had it turned down a lot and ran street tires to try and keep the Dana 44 together. I'm building a 60 for this year so I can put power back in it and run 11s.

Whoa Im definatly not shooting for 11s that sounds a bit much for my 4wd truck without really going crazy with the motor. maybe mid 13s low 14s if Im lucky

CRIKEY! 12.50s is SERIOUS fast for any rig let alone an FSJ!

To be honest, I figured high 15s.
My brother's 68 Barris edition 340 barracuda with 727/4.10s went 12.46 @ 128 and it weighed alot less than your waggy.

I love to see different types of vehicles racing. After a few passes all the belly-button rides start to look the same and un-impress.

Well Done

[Edit] I just checked out your cardomain pages. FARKINGRÜÜVEN!
