another newb.

ive been lurking the forum for a little while, finally decided to join. im fairly new to the fjs world, not new to jeeps or wrenching though. growing up my dad had a flat fender willys, cj5, and since a couple of fj40s. i bought my 72 wagoneer about a year ago on a whim and have been working on it since. from what i can tell its your pretty basic early waggy, 360/th400/d20/closed knuckle d27/d44. it was a driver when i bought it and gets driven on a regular basis. the pics are from just after i bought it. since then i done quite a bit of work including:

-complete re-wire
-gm high apm one wire alternator
-new gauges
-edelbrock performer intake
-edelbrock carb
-headers
-2 1/2" dual exhaust
-custom tube bumpers

future plans include:

-front disk brake conversion or d44 front axle swap
-4" lift and 33's
-fuel injection down the road.
-auto to manual swap

those last three are still up in the air and down the road type plans.

cheers andy

Very cool. I dig that frontend. Those corner lights are quite groovy.

thanks for the welcome y'all.

i took some new pics this morning. the bumpers are a quick and dirty copy of others that ive seen. the steel was scrap from a job a couple of months ago so they cost me almost nothing to build.
