what tranny

91 waggy 360 wondering what tranny is in it i thought it was a th400 but was told it may be a 727. And would it be possible to drop a 350 chevy infront of the tranny with no adapter if its a th400? Or dodge 360 if its a 727. I only ask because i want to rebuild the 360 and have access to both engines to swap in if it will work. No driveline parts just the engines.

this is the biggest topic for newbies so dont feel bad

after 1979 FSJ's came with torque Flight TF727 with a custom AMC bellhousings this means it will only bolt up to an AMC engine

Same with the TH400 only AMC engines

If it is the original trans it will be an AMC 727 that will not bolt to anything but an AMC engine, it will be the same case if it is an AMC TH400, it will only bolt to an AMC engine.
