I want one for my crewcab! How much would you charge to make it out of heavy wall cardboard with more duct tape? Seriously that looks good, should look great when its done. Blair

It has my vote! I think that will be one of the best lookin bumpers I've seen for these things. I have wanted on like that but just have not gottin around to building one. Can't wait to see how it turns out for you. Be sure to post the pics when you get it finished or do a build thread on it.

Sweet, if you just bondo and paint the cardboard, it will be as strong as alot of the Store bought bumpers I have seen.
Can't wait to see it in steel.

depending on how it turns out and how many people are interested, i may build a few more to sell. I know janie was interested in one. Cost goes down with the more i make.

Diamond tread the top and add a stinger, have an option for a 3" body lift and you might have me hooked, 'specially since your "local". Maybe there's a way to get my hog Ramsey 12,000Lb pto winch into it.... or maybe I should go with a lighter winch anyway.

Being's how it's a Jeep you can figure you will be standing on the top of the bumper and leaning over to wrench on something and the diamond tread just makes it a lil harder to slip off on your azz. Stinger and a Rhino grill would certainly rock.
If the mounts had separate bolt holes for various size body lifts you'd likely sell more bumpers also.

yeah the diamond plate would be nice but it is also $$$. Im a poor college student, what can i say? And i wasnt really expecting to sell a lot of these.
As to the body lift, i dunno how well this design would work for that. I designed it to sit as high as it could which would give the best ground clearance. This means it already sits high on the frame, and the 3" bl would make it quite awkward. I wish i would have taken a pic of how it mounts to the frame as it is hard to explain.

Bumper looks GREAT!! The diamond tread sounds real good and the 3" body lift option would definitely have me hooked

Your Bumper design looks great. But are you concerned about fender damage (say from a stray rock)? It looks as if the angle at which the bottom comes up leaves a bit of fender exposed on both sides (when viewed from the front.) Utherwise, the bumper really looks great.
I'm also in the process of designing my own.. (but not for production) I have a way old version of auto cad (v 14) on my old old PC (The only reason I havn't gotten rid of it) I used to be a drafter once upon a time.

i thought the same thing. if it were me, i'd just trim back that part of the fender. there is actually an angled line there you can follow and it shouldn't look too bad.
