My First FSJ

Hello, I've been browsing the board for a while now and figured it was time to introduce myself. I have found a lot of answers to my questions so far but I will have a ton more to come. Here is my beast as it sat when I bought it.

Looks like a 79 model maybe.
Is that a hand grenade hood ornament?

The truck is not from the south, I'm from Calgary Alberta Canada.
The truck is a 75, grill was changed out. This truck has been cut and hacked by previous owners. I found a pic of it with quad headlights at one point.

The grenade is the hood release. I like it but the hood does not lock at this point.

The drivetrain is 401/th400/qt. Right now its on propane but I think that will come out. I am trying to figure out how much lift is on it. It's soa but I think there may be lift springs in it as well. The tires in the pic are 31's.

Welcome from thr Front Range of Colorado. Be prepared to be broke.

Don't let them get you down, I like the pignose grill and square headlights.

Just wait until you get into the brow/no brow debate.

LOL, with all the grille swapping that goes down here on the forum, that is why I said "looks like" and "maybe". The 401 is a plus! The cab brow is a double-plus!
