Shimniok... Just another example

Huge thanks to Shimniok for having a great write-up available on his site for rebuilding the alternator. I went to the parts store yesterday and picked up an alternator repair kit, and a set of new belts for the wag. Came home, pulled the alternator and went to work cleaning and then rebuilding it. Today I finished up installing the alt, and new belts. While I was at it, I changed the oil and filter.
Just another couple of things off the to-do list.
Also while I was out, I found a local used tire shop that sold me a set of 4 wild country XTX tires mounted and balanced for 175. Not bad considering 2 had 90% and the other 2 had 80% tread left.
I decided to go ahead with the used ones as I am hoping they last long enough for me to get a lift in and then it will be time for bigger rubber anyhow.
Anyways, Shimniok is yet another example of the great knowledge base we have to work with here on the forum.
Thanks man, for helping when you didn't even know you were!
