He wants 600 but needs alot of work. Used to be a plow truck so you know that there waws salt.
Here are the stats.
1980 jeep j10 pickup

4 wheel drive

360 amc v8

4 speed manual transmission

Body is crap.

I could strip it down to basics but I really dont have anywhere to put it and have a kid on the way.

What do you guys think

As much as this hurts to say, I'll say it anyway... Stay away from it and use that money towards diapers, formula, cereal and wipes...
I'm in a similar boat man... after two kids and now another one on the way... I had to sacrifice some of the goods/toys...

x2 on the jimmie cap, lol! but yeah, once that kid comes along, you won't have time to work on the truck. you could always get it, and just get it running, and as the kid gets older, let him/her work on the truck and by the time their 16 or so, they won't hafta ride the bus! my dad did this for me, but by the time i was ole enough to drive, he decided he'd rather keep the '57 chevy bel air, and gave me his old trans-am... i wrecked the trans am, so this was prolly a smart choice!

Just got some pics from the guy. the body is gone and by gone I mean way gone. Drivetrain looks to be strong. Let me know if anybody is around the ohio valley and I will give you the contact info for the drivetrain.

Plow truck = abused drivetrain.

1/2 ton plow truck = junk drivetrain.

$200 maybe, but not $600.

if you think you can save the $800 and hold out for something better you should.

even if you can't save it, you can buy a lot of diapers with it.

though that j-truck would make an ok playpen i suppose.
