I am in the process of putting on my Rusty's 4" spring lift & am having a problem with the shackle bushings. No problems with the spring bushings, they are already in and ready to go. I bought new bushings for the shackle to body mount but now have problems

It looks like the bushing in the shackle is somewhat egg shaped? I can't seem to hammer it out. So I suppose it needs pressed out and the new one pressed in? Also, the old one appears to be somewhat egg shaped and of course the new one is round. Will the new one even press in? When the shackle was made, did they put the bushing in, then crimp it down so now a new one is almost impossible to put in?

Just found an old thread on this very subject.

So my questions are already answered.
