About a month ago I posted about breaking my leaf spring while dorking around. I left it at my brother-in-law's house (about an hour away) because I can't work on it where I live. Well, I got some new springs from Tanker and Halftrak, went to bolt them in, and I couldn't get the axle to slide up. I'd get one side lined up and the other side would be off, so I'd pull it into place and the other side would pop out. After 8 hours of trying to figure this out, I came to the realization that my axle housing might be bent. So, I decided to suck it up and have T & H drop me a new axle. Soooo....The next day I'm on my way to meet my folks for dinner, when I see a razor grill coming toward me. I'm thikning "COOL! It looks just like my truck!" As it gets closer, it looks more and more like mine. Sure enough, my truck drives right on past me and my brother-in-law is laughing his head off! Apparently, he and the father-in-law decided to look at it and they ran into the same problem I had! Apparently, I had locked up my drive shaft, and with a few smacks of the hammer, the axle bolted right in! Drives like a big yellow turd of a dream

All I have to do now is put in the rear springs and my 1/2 ton will be a 3/4 ton! Hooray for good family and surprises! Just thought I'd share
