Whats a rust free rig worth?
Looking at a 100% rust free 77 chief, pretty much stock, runs, what kind of ball park is this worth, not in showroom shape, but no major dents or dings, just dull paint? I have a couple fsj that have a bit of rust around the bottom side /tailgate and found one that is pretty much in pefect shape, just wondering whats the ballpark here. THanks John

LOL dont ask that here! In the rust belt rust free means tack on at least 1000 bucks. Down south they could care less and apparenlty 99% of these things are worth 500 bucks, 1500 if its in impeccable condition.

Id say $1500 to $2500 depending on the condition of the interior and engine/drivetrain. Rust free is the biggest plus you can find with one of these vehicles. Im just over in wisconsin and i paid $2000 for my 80 chief last year and its rust free, from california. I think i got a good deal, but each has their own opinion on what to pay for one of these. Having a rust free one near you already like i found mine is much better than trying to get a cheap rust free one to you from down south.

shipping
I just had my truck shipped from Tulsa Ok to Greensburg, In (about 730 miles) for $395. One World Auto Shipping from FLA. (broker) Gasoline alone was going to be $270 for me. Boy am I glad! you cant find rust free jeeps in indiana. The extra money was well spent. Now, if I could Just get turn signals..............
