carb spacer
i have a eddy perfomer intake and a eddy 1406 carb.i've been having trouble with warm starts. i have to hold the gas pedel to the floor before it starts.i also had this issue with a carter afb as well.
so i'm thinking about putting in a spacer in between the two, trying to reduce the heat transfer.witch spacer do i use?
all 2 in the pic's fit .which one?
any help would be appreaciated.

what you want is a 1/4 -1/2" phenolic spacer. edelbrocks hate the heat.

My Edelbrock hated the heat and would not start when warm. The carb spacer, cheap $25 one from the parts store, did the trick. Remember to spray down the spacer on all sides with starter fluid to see if you're idle speed picks up.
Mine also grew some balls after the spacer was installed.

seeing how big the origional spacer was on the 4350 I didn't want to do anything less so when I made this very same swap I used the 1in spacer.

go to Edelbrock's website, they have instructions for that carb.....it tells you how to disassemble, adjust, set the float heights, etc.

high float level will cause all kinds of trouble, including what you describe.
