Blacked out grill

Antbody ever painted the Grill on a 87 GW all black. The chrome on it has seen better days. Would it look good?

Yep, I did it
As far as looking good, I think it depends on the overall condition of your rig, and the color tho', my jeep is dark greyish, so the black looks good.

sorry no pictures

IMO a black out grill looks alot better then the semi chrome peeling look. i usually do all my cars with a black-out grill. just be sure to use a flat black, the gloss tends to get hotter then usual, if you are dealing with cooling issues

Blacked out grill

Gun Metal Powder Coated ,sorry no pictures. Like Kahula said looks better than peeling chrome or oxidizes aluminum.

Cool thanks guys. I going to go that route. I also removed all the chrome from around the windows. im going to paint that area black as well and the rest White. Im painting the GW next month so im just getting ideas. I removed the chrome to get some rust and I like it withoout it. I have it safley stored for later. Im going to re-wood with the stuff from JCWhitney. I got a sample from the company that makes it and I loke it a lot. It is really dark. So Im thinking of painting the wood trim since it has seen better days, black as well. I think it would look really good , White, Black trim and dark re-wood.
