It was my first put-on. It was a very borring trail, but the scenery was great.

Next time, the 3.5 trail.....

Jaber...

Was that your white J-10 I saw headed north on 89 near Hell Canyon, Thursday evening ~ 7-ish..?? I was headed south towards Chino and hankering for some of Alfonso's carne-asada... Was driving a light blue CJ7, with tan-ish rag-top...

Actually, no. Locked and loaded went with us today. Hes from the Phoenix area. The one you saw Thursday is a new friend of mine Joe. His is an '84 Honcho with a lift. He lives in Ashfork and was coming to my house to order parts from BJs. he dont have a computer yet so we havent introduced him to the group yet. He went to the gun show in the valley and could not make the run with us. He wanted to though.

That's great! A couple years back the folks in AZ were doing trail rides about every 6 weeks in the cooler months. And a night ride or two in the summer. We need to get back into that groove. Probably time for a Meet and Greet soon too...

Glad you all had fun. I wish I could have joined ya.

I think the once Gwinn gets a trail rig going again, that'll change. I hate that I have only met a couple of our southern bros and hope work picks up so I can change that. I got to meet some GREAT people yesterday and it was nice to finally put faces to the personalities I've gotten to know on here. I hope I can do this again soon, with a little more challenge for us.

Next Run

Just wondering when and where next run might be. A night run sounds really intresting and cooler for those of us without ac. But I'm opened to anything thats moderate.

I think you and I need to do some "scouting" first.

A spray bottle set on mist makes a WORLD of difference. Wheelin with the windows up takes away from the adventure for me, but then again I was raised in a CJ5 and ragged on anyone with A/C.
We might go back to the water today to try to find my sons other shoe.
Wanna go?

Wish I could go gotta lot of dust removal on the waggy to do and have to fix my rear window (popped out of the track) plus I need new tires mine got really chewed up yesterday lots of dry rot cracking and chuncks out of the tread don't know if I should push my luck too hard on them.

The wife and I had a great time yesterday. Thanks for posting the pictures I'll get to mine and post them. Anybody get one of the PT Cruiser that went by us?
It was a fun time had by all. Good wheelin, good stories, and good laughs. It's beautiful country back in there. It may not have been a 3.5 rated trail but it was worth the drive. These are 20+ year old vehicles that are lucky to make it up I-17 to the trailhead. Yet, we went up there and drove around all day. None of us had even a flat tire. Kudos to all of you for having your vehicles ready for the trail. It could have easily turned into a late night er.
I have wheeled offroad all my life. And I like going out with a group of FSJ's. Their is nothing like a line of FSj's passing a group of people that are on the side of the trail. They all have that ,What were you guys thinking, look on there faces. But their is always one of them with a smile on his face. He gets it.
Don't get me wrong I like the harder trails also. It's amazing what a built rig will do. I wish their was a way to combine a tough trail and a easy day ride. Something to get everybody there.
Like I said we had a great time. Would do it again. I gotta get me a PT Cruiser.
