another sucky air cleaner.
made another one. yes,it's dirty, and ugly. we are getting a bead-blasting cabinet at the truck shop soon ( !!) and it'll get blasted, cleaned up and painted then. got a few holes to weld up as well,as all the emissions devises will be removed. it will have both the cold air tubes ducted/connected as well

Old school ram air.
Always wanted to do that to my old Chevy van thought it would help a lot with the hot air trapped in the dog house.

I've though about doing that to mine. Do you use a 6 cyl hose for the right snorkel or does a v8 hose fit the 6 cyl valence hole?

on the '91 matt bought from me i did this same thing. under the puke tank there is a hole in the valance for a cold air tube flange-same style as the one on the passenger side. pop rivet it on,get a second V8 cold air hose and yer set.

Ok thanks! I had seen the hole under the puke tank but wasn't sure if a v8 hose would fit. Another thing for the to do list.

stock aircleaner didn't come close to feeding the 8601 cam'd 391 w/780cfm carb. lean into it a little and it choke on fuel. that's with the stock exhaust still. i really gotta get the headers/dual exhaust on it.

i know. the welder was burnt up when i welded that one. one of the guys in the shop cranked it up wide open and did a 15 minute welding stint with it. so it wouldn't penetrate well when i did yours.
