Crane H-260-2 Cam in a 401

Okay guys I just fired up my 401 with Keith Black 0.030 over pistons, edelbrock intake, Howell Fuel Injection, headers, and stock ignition with a "juice box" upgrade. I'm running a Crane H-260-2 Cam and it sounds strong, real strong. However, it sounds very lobey at 800 rpm.

I'm surprised it's this bumpy. Is this normal? Like I said the engine sounds strong, smooths out at about 1200 rpm. (I've got a long way to go before I get it on the road to check power.)

I need to check my spark gaps again now that I'm thinking about it. I assuming I should set these around 0.045", correct?

Any comments?

Elliot,

I told my buddy tonight that I'm glad I went with the Hydroboost!

Everything is hooked up and I'm running redline synthetic fluid in the pump but I haven't filled the master cylinder or bled the brakes yet.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks
