how much does a loaded rear end weigh?

    D44 rear is 250lbs and can be manipulated farly easily (smartly). The front is over 300lbs and and takes some testicular spring to work with.

      The weight is not the only problem they want to spin around because of the pumkin. I always have used a cherry picker.
      1964 J 300 dana 44's 3.55's, 383 chevy 420 hp 460 tq, turbo 350, 35 all terains, and 2.5 kings.

      1964 J 200 stock except previous owner put a 327 in it does not run yet.

        Yep, this. I've heaved a few fully loaded fronts into the back of a lifted truck and it ain't fun. The rear is a little more manageable.

                      That's exactly why I have a hitch on mine. I'd rather drag the hitch than scrape up the bumper.

                      And it lets me know when I'm about to scrape off the nerf strips, too!
