Can't wait to hear about this... that thing looked a lot easier than it was. My entire engine is soaked in mud and the only thing that kept it from coming inside was that small lip on the floor by the door.

I had to go get it muddy one time before hitting the interstate...

I ran through a couple of times and tried to get up the rut.
I didn't make it up the rut so I went down it with a bit of throttle at the bottom. BIG rock under all that water! The drivers side shackle inverted and the result was a broken leaf spring, shock and driveshaft. The 1310 joints helds up great tho'.

Martin and Tyler went to Tony's shop and picked up a pair of springs while I tore it apart. I had it fixed around 16:30.
Clutch is also gone. I ran the 4 hrs home without a clutch.

Everything that could go wrong...did! 'Murhpy' was my co-pilot.

              What a blast!

Casey thanks for keeping an eye out to make sure we got down the road ok. We might not have been the last ones out, but I bet I was the last one home.

03:30! That's in the A.M. ! My internal clock is so messed up now, I don't know what to do. Truck's unpacked and ready for a thurough vaccuming. But in the interim, here's the pic's:

                And highlighs:
Looks tame, but don't trust it!

                This:

                Caused this:

                And this:

This looked steeper at the time, but that rear tire is off the ground:

Got it sideways here, but you'll have to take my word for it:

Don't cha' hate it when a small problem turns out to be a big one?

Not just a worn out brake pad, but a bad seal and bearing too.

And hopefully phatmax has photos of what caused this:

At kodak rock. I confess, my eyes were closed.

I just wanted to say thanks for letting my "intermediate sized Jeep" join the crowd for the weekend! The last time I went was back in 2005, but didn't have my CJ with me. Anywho, I took my little stocker with street tires through that mudhole, but didn't have the cajones to drop in off that ledge.

Took my 2006 Grand Cherokee (WK) to the East Coast Full Size Jeep Invasion over the weekend in Uwharrie National Forrest. Here's a little clip from a mud pi...

Oh, and if you need to clean out your grill, just bring along a 10 year old with a Super Soaker - problem fixed in 5 minutes...

                  Thanks again!

                        Ouch...

I saw the Honcho slam into the tree and cringed, forgot to see if there was damage..although that is not TOO bad.
