    Back in the game with my new 89 Waggy

    I restored my last one in 2009. Sold it to start my business. Now, 7 years later, I've sold my business and back in the Grand Wagoneer game.

    Found this 1989 GW from Arizona with 64,xxx original miles on her. Talked to the owner, saw a couple of pics, sent a check and 3 days later it's in my parking lot at work.

    It took me about 6 months to finally get around to working on her.

                      Broke out the chrome polish and never dull. Brought those old headlight buckets back to life. The polished one's on the right.

                          New grill frame and insert from Team Grand Wagoneer. New headlights. Took the old headlight to Advanced and they looked at it and said "man I haven't seen one of those in forever."

                            Today was kinda frustrating. All windows have been working fine, except the back driver side, which has been a little slow. Yesterday I rolled down the pass side back window to install the new wipe, and had to push it down. Then I couldn't get it back up. Don't know if it's the motor or not. Had the wife come and hold the switch in the up position while I pushed on it and got it up just before a monsoon hit. The back glass did the same thing. I dunno I'll figure it out.

                              Finished up the front end, except for the fog lights and air dam. Spend several hours polishing up the bumper. The air dam just needs to be cleaned and refreshed and I'll put it back on. The fog lights aren't working. Ran down to Advanced and they didn't have any I liked. I bought them, but think I'll take them back and find some closer to what was on there.
