    My GW in a Video

I had my GW used in a music video recently. I found this opportunity on craigslist, so wasn't sure if it was for real, but I went for it, and it worked out great.

The production crew had my Jeep was rigged up on a trailer with a cameraman outisde in 15-20 degree weather while moving around 40-50 mph (it was cold!). Everyone was professional and extremely courteous. I followed in a police escort, and it was pretty cool seeing all the work that goes into a videos production. This was considered "low-budget" piece and part of a dance ensemble (spelling?), so it was not the most well-known song or best acting, but my Jeep did great (and I made a litte $$$).

Notice the driver taking his hands off the wheel while the Jeep is turning, notice the height of the Jeep, and the cars slowing down to take a look.

          Pretty Cool!!

Congrats. At least you had a good experience, got paid, and your waggy is now forever preserved on video. My buddy down in Charlotte has a stable of old Pontiacs that were used in a movie. Said it was days of standing around and when we went to see the movie, there was only one shot of his cars and it was from a grand distance. As far as I'm concerned, your waggy was the star of that production.

Thanks for the comments! Yes, it was a lot of waiting around. I arrived at the location at 7AM and the filming didn't finish until around 2 in the afternoon. They kept my Jeep idling while rigged up on the trailer the whole time so the actors could stay warm - it nearly emptied my gas tank!

Very Cool! Mine was also in a video, and a few weeks ago the band won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Album.

Your GW looks very nice. Too bad they didn't have more shots of the outside.

Hi Daddio - Yep, I saw your video posted a few weeks ago - it was awesome!!! Your GW, the song, the band, definately deserved a Grammy - the chick in the video was pretty hot too!

At :40 to :50 in the video, looking out the back of the GW, is that another FSJ in the right lane coming up behind?

                    Cool vid

Good eye - that looked like an FSJ. But I did not see any on the road during the shoot. I definately would have spotted it.

Funny thing happend during the shoot. When the guy who owned the red Porsche that was seen later in the video showed up to the shoot he actually drove behind my Jeep. The producer didn't like that, so they had to go back and re-shoot that segment.

He doesn't turn the steering wheel when the vehicle turns. Oops.

Way cool to have your jeep in a video (and not have it destroyed!).
