He ripped me off last summer for 4 window motors. I am an attorney so I do what attorneys do best and suddenly. Poof, My money appeared back in my paypal account (after 4 months of unanswered e-mails). He is a disgrace to the FSJ community.

Does this not constitute "Mail Fraud or Wire Fraud" which is a Federal Offence? Seems to me, you may want to get the FBI involved.

Is this just an extracurricular business he has?

There was an odd statement on his site about no phone calls buring business hours because "I have to stop work to answer calls". WTH is that all about?

I don't think he keeps inventory. Once he get's your money, then he searches for the needed parts and it may be months, if ever, until you get your parts. Ebay has many sellers like this, mostly overseas.

        I'd call the local DA.

used car salesman / snake oil salesman. It's a shame that most folks only find out AFTER they give him their money.

Have you all read these? So the way I read it is you place an order and if he can't find your part, you get no cash refund, just credit on soemting you don't need to buy. It seems if he las no luck in gettng your part, then consider the money you paid as compensation for his effort. Sleazy.

Did he write these praises himself?

I met this guy in person at the PA JEEP show a few years ago and all I can say is WHAT A JOKE!!!!! He is right here in PA near me and I would NEVER even consider doing business with him, especially with his prices and som eof his comments on his own website. No calls??? What kind of business is that? I emailed him about a rear wiper motor and he told me that he would be out on his yatch for several weeks and he would ship it after he got back, but he wanted payment before he left. Yea, right!

You guys, This man is a joke to our community in the FSJ world. He does not know how to do business at all. The people with problems need to report him to the Better Business Bureau. In the past I have seen a lot of people with problems him.

I'm under the impression that he is under the impression that he has the exclusive niche and knowledge with Wagoneers with competition being nil, so his business practices are monopolic.

Apparently not aware of Wagonmaster, Team Wagoneers, BJ's, ETC; or this forum. Home Page-"Helpful tips and tricks so you don't sail along blindly into your Wagoneer restoration". I guess not aware that this forum exists. Notice there are no links anywhere in the site, except dead ones?

It would be ineteresting to see if anyone here has actually bought something and had a good experience with Saul, er Wenzel.

It would also be interesting to get an factual poll of how many people have lost money to him.

I don't recall reading anything here that is nice about him.

That sucks for us pobastids addicted to FSJs (as potential customers go)

I ain't so sure moving this to vendor forum will help this get a lot of attention either... <sigh>

well... yes, I have bought from Saul, back in 03.
I bought a few smaller things. They were delivered on time and as expected.

It was the only time I ordered from him.

That was a long time ago, and at the time I lived VERY close to where he operates from. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not, just my experience.

It would seem the service isnt what it used to be

I ordered something from him back in '02 and it was shipped pretty quickly. At that time, he still had his phone number listed on his website, so I called him and asked for his advise about something. I haven't had to buy anything from him since then, though, so don't know anything good or bad to say about him recently.

Having no luck finding a replacement rear door armrest for my GW, I saw his ad about a repair kit for them. Have to admit, it worked.

For $25 it was a couple washers with a tube of JB Weld. Crude but effective.

However, after seeing his latest email advertisement regarding how to save 50% on gas with his "Hydro assist", I've kind of lost faith in the guy.

I could be wrong on this, but if what he says is true, then I would expect this to be major news and 20/20, 60minutes, ect. would be knocking on his door wanting a demo.

                              We'll stay tuned...
