Yah, my bad, i always screw it up, another note, the IHC 152 is seriuosly half of a 304 and the 196 is half of a 392. I am serious, they just cut off a bank of cylinders and changed the intake, same head, same exhaust IIRC. (I have a couple 152s)

the engine did'nt smoke or tick, it does have the 727 w/229 T-case which i think is stuck in 2wd. took Waggy off road becuase rear-end smoked out and there is something goofed i the wiring harness, so half of the electronics did'nt work.
prolly $200 for engine $450 for whole rig, but is negotiable to fellow jeepsters.

I checked around with my usual parts connections but no one has one that they will guarentee to be a runner. All rebuildables. I did see this ad in the wantadvertiser though:

AMC/JEEP 360CI ENG. 20K mi. Certified on rebuild. Alt, valve covers, carb, AC compressor, belts, distributor, spark plug wires, steering pump, PVC blower. $950; (Westford) 978-692-3383

I wonder what a PVC blower is.

"The 304 rev's much higher then the 360 as it has a shorter stroke. Less torque, but runs more rpm's."

Actually the 360 and 304 have the same stroke, the 360 has a larger bore. The 304
has pretty good low RPM mannors, if the 304 runs nice, I personally would run with
it.

I have a 304 in my CJ and I like it even under geared as it is. I used the performer Cam and Edeebrock RB$ intake, headers, and a 600 Holley carb. Running 3.54 gears and 33's and a T150/D20 combo I can out preform my buddies 350 chevy powered 4.10/35's/t150/d20 rig. With 3.31's and 35's you will be hurting (in my book) even with a 401.
BTW the IHC motors are 266, 304, 345, and 392 and have a size and torque curve that make all other motors look puny.
65 wag. with a bunch of stuff done and more happening.

\"If the local junkyard calls you for Jeep parts, you might be a redneck\".... and yes they do!
