    who has the fiberglass flares?

I was wondering who here is running the fiberglass fender flares for the rear of a WT. The ones on my cherokee are starting to rust around the bottom and the seam where they meet the body. I saw that BJ's has them and I was wondering who all here has them. Do you like them, how do they look, how do they attach to the body. I know it is probably screws or pop rivets, but do they attach to the outside panel or attach on the inside wheelwell. were they hard to install? Cutting my old ones off wont be too hard, but do thenew ones need any trimming? As always pics would be nice. Thanks, Jared

I replaced mine with some from jc whitney about 5 years ago. i have not seen them in there catalog for awhile. i assume they would be the same. i used pop rivits and screws. they attach to the lip on the inside of the fender. i was able to get at some of them from the inside after i removed the interior panel. the other ones i had to cut holes in the inner fender well and used screws. it was a pretty tough job but worth it. i just pluged up the holes i made with that metal body tape and undercoated over top. good luck, ron

I have them but didn't install them myself. Don't think he reinforced enough though. The paint cracked between the flare and fender. Other than that I'm happy with them.

You all dont have any pics do you? How good do they match up to the body? Can you tell easyaly that they have been replaced? I'm shure theres a way you could reinforce them. Thanks, Jared
