How can I start a local/regional chapter of IFSJA?

There is no local chapter in my area, Northwest Michigan, and I would like to start one. Anyone know what I have to do to get registered?

Jump in and start it. No reason not to at all.

All you need is some webspace, yahoo groups is good for that, and there are other avenues as well.

        Thanks...

Thanks for the encouragement. I build websites for a living, so getting a site up won't be a problem. I live in a great area for off-roading, and I'd like to get some Jeepers together sometime.

        Thanks~!

          Just do it.
California uses YahooGroups. Colorado does too.

Start the group and start spreading the info.

I don't know if I would call them chapters. A lot of states have their own local "FSJ clubs" most of the people are also on here. We have a site in GA. that is a forum like this one. It is www.gfsj.org I know that there are a number of other areas that are pretty similar.

Here are the states around me that have sites:

Carolina Full Size Jeep Club: www.cfsjc.com
                    Tennesseee: www.tfsj.org: www.tnfsj.org

well.....official chapters (sub groups of ifsja) don't really exist. anyone can create or maintain one. they are listed on the main page.....but this list is probablyh 10 years old.

The largest resource for full size Jeep information on the net! The IFSJA is a community of owners and enthusiasts of SJ series Full Size Jeeps.

once I FINALLY get around to re-organizing the forums different areas will be represented.

and since we're on the subject......i'll start a SE Wisconsin chapter just for fun. Remember.....I'm not only the president....I'm also a client! LOL

My girlfriend lives in Kalamazoo, MI. SHe wants to steal my 1990 Grand Wagoneer. Does that count? I'm trying to get her to buy one of her own. SHe thinks she'll like 1991 the best. A regional chapter club would be interesting.

On a different topic, I've been thinking of building a website to list my bike inventory. It's nice to know someone who knows how to make websites and also like full size Jeeps.
