    Central Florida Newbie!

I just picked up a 79 Cherokee Chief S as a project... It's a real mess, but I can't wait to get started on it! If anyone has any idea of where to pick up glass, and body panels, I'd appreciate a heads up! I've been banging my head against the wall trying to find rear glass for my Chief... I'm looking forward to posting my progress!

Welcome and start a build thread.

I started with a 79 Chief and have some parts. Let me know what you need. As for body panels, I have two donor rigs so I'd have parts and still had to buy some.

Thanks 8Man! I'm in deep doo doo with this one I think. I wanted a project, but I may have bitten off more than I can chew. As I am NOT a master mechanic - or anything close - I dropped it off at a shop to have an inspection done. I want to be able to drive it safely (and legally) while I pick at it over time. My biggest issue is that rear glass (if not the entire rear tailgate) and an exhaust system. I think I can handle the glass, but I'm not a welder, so more shop time for that. Then I can start working on the ever lengthening laundry list... I'm still stoked, but I've got a LOT of work ahead of me.
