A727 Transmission question

    A727 Transmission question

    Quick question for anyone who works on the A727/999 transmissions.
    I had to rebuild my Transfer Case, so it was removed from the adapter housing of the A727 transmission. The transmission brace was unbolted and the drivetrain was lowered a bit to access the top bolts. Once tilted, the AT fluid is dripping over the rear seal.
    Does the transfer case shaft seal press against the adapter housing rear seal? It's my understanding fluid is not shared between the AT and the TC.

    The tranny shaft slides into the tcase hub and the seal rides on that hub thus sealing the guild into the tyranny.
