Should've got the tri-color European ones!

For me this is the find of all finds... A complete set of NOS seat-covers for "Desiree" stored away in their original packaging!

Desiree is painted and the un-wrapping begins! She is painted in the same OEM color of "Charcoal Gray Metallic"... I am told the new mixture includes both Silver and Gold flecks.

I decided on TGW's Wagonmaster woodgrain... Should be back to me next week painted and Woody! Here's a few photos...

                          Woodgrain Trim

Now that the woodgrain is on... Time to work on the woodgrain-trim. When I first removed the trim I sent out requests to get opinions on how did its color compared to the original... The feedback was that mine looked much like the original. But when I ordered a few NOS replacement pieces... Much to my surprise it has a woodgrain finish!

So... Ditched the blast and spray idea in search of getting a woodgrain. Off to the water-transfer folks for a woodgrain finish. Stay tuned!

A first look at the woodgrain-trim

The original trim end-caps were not covered in woodgrain... I had mine done as the trim is now more continuous without the solid colored end-caps break-points.
